Candace is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio who enjoys working with children, families, adults, and couples counseling. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Play therapy.  She uses her skills in play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy to help children  develop and learn coping skills through their natural language. Although, she specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Play therapy she prescribes to the notion once size does not fit all and each person should be given the best care. Candace also considers herself as multicultural counselor taking pride in her love and acceptance of differences. Through past work experience as a School aid,  child welfare worker, and providing counseling in the child advocacy center has given her an abundant amount of trauma experience. Through her love of people she is able to provide unconditional positive regard, genuineness,  and shows empathy to all she encounters. 

A Northwest Indiana native, Candace earned her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wright State University and her bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in African American studies at Purdue University.  Candace has been working with children for the last seven years in many different settings as school aid, child welfare worker, foster care worker, and counselor in community mental health. Candace has provided many different services to children and families throughout her work history, including assessing, creating treatment plans, advocacy, providing crisis help, and group therapy. 

Besides a love for children and helping people, Candace enjoys coaching cheer, reading, playing with her dog, and spending time with her loved ones.
